The Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro has the best specs of any smartphone in this price segment. It has an all-screen design with a waterdrop notch, dual 12-megapixel (f/1.9 and f/2.4) + 12-megapixel (f/2.6) dual rear cameras and a 24-megapixel (f/2.0) front camera with 3D face unlocking. The phone has a ceramic unibody and a 7000 series aluminium frame. It has 64GB of inbuilt storage expandable to 256GB with a microSD card. The phone has a ceramic unibody and a 7000 series aluminium frame. The phone has a 6.21-inch AMOLED display, a screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The display is surrounded by narrow bezels on three sides and a thick chin at the bottom.

Design, Display, and Performance

Like many flagship phones these days, the Mi 11X Pro is not the most appealing design among its competition. It has a mostly bezel-less display which is shaped like a waterdrop. A metal slab with a central camera and three sides (top, bottom, and side) having rounded edges on the front. I'm not a fan of this and would have preferred a more distinct design.

The Galaxy S9 looks like it's designed on paper, while the Vivo NEX and Oppo Find X are mind-boggling. However, Xiaomi did manage to give the Mi 11 Pro a strong look. The edges of the phone have a glossy metal finish, and there's a tiny bit of bezel at the bottom (just 1.45mm at the side) for the selfie camera. The sides are curved on the top and bottom and the top bezel has a slight curve at the top.

How are The Camera Features of Mi 11X Pro?

Camera Quality for mi 11x pro

Thanks to the dual camera system, the Mi 11X Pro gives the market a tonne of interesting options when it comes to camera imaging. The Mi 11X Pro combines a 12-megapixel primary lens with a 20-megapixel secondary lens and can use AI to improve low-light and high-contrast shots. On paper, this sounds great but in reality, it’s not even close to being as good as the competition. The Mi 11X does an OK job with picking out details and sharpness, but the issues here were mostly with the white balance.

The first shutter of the camera would sometimes err on the yellow side while the second shutter would expose scenes in which the blue levels were extremely strong. These flops would blur everything out even though it was supposed to be a HDR image.

How is The Gaming Battery Life of Mi 11X Pro Phone?

Battery gaming Life in mi 11x pro

Compared to other premium phones, the battery life of the Mi 11X is great. I played PUBG Mobile for around 40 hours on 3G data and 2-3 hours on Wi-Fi. The phone lasts almost half a day on one charge, which is great and can easily last up to 8 hours on a single charge in an average use scenario. The Mi 11X Pro also charges fast and the combination of good build quality and fast charging make it an attractive option for those who are always on the go.

Comparison photo above Design and display One thing I didn't expect was to like the design of the Mi 11X. What started out as an attractive slab at the front grew into a pill-shaped contraption after I put it in my front pocket. Xiaomi offers a special multi-coloured case for the Mi 11X Pro, which makes it less attractive from the front, but overall, it has a good feel to it thanks to the rounded corners.

Of course, the bottom portion of the phone has a huge notch that houses the selfie camera, earpiece and front-facing sensors. The top of the smartphone has a 4.5-inch display, which looks and feels rather plastic. The colours used on the display are less vibrant compared to the Mi 8 Pro, and the resolution is also lower at 1,080x2,280 pixels.

What are The Benefits of Playing Pubg Game in Mi 11X Pro Phone?

The Mi 11X Pro offers a lot of value for your money and the price is surely one of the best value-for-money offerings you'll find. The Mi MIX 3, Honor 10 and Honor Play are also great alternatives. However, they aren't as slick as the Mi Mix 3. There's a lot of bang for your buck and the specs on offer are great for the money.

The Mi MIX 3 packs in a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, while the Honor Play offers some incredible gaming power with a Kirin 980 chipset that's backed by a sizable 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The Mi 11X, on the other hand, is a bit of a middleweight in the series thanks to the Snapdragon 710 SoC, backed by 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

How is The Software Performance of Mi 11X Pro Phone?

The Mi 11X Pro runs MIUI 9.5 based Android Oreo. The company has not updated its flagship for the latest Android Pie. MIUI 9.5 is a pretty capable operating system but it doesn't have the visual appeal or intuitive user experience that would appeal to a lot of people. We are a bit disappointed that the Mi Mix 3 hasn't got any update for Android Pie. It doesn't even have the gesture navigation feature which is exclusive to the Pie update.

I would have loved to see this feature added to the handset as it would have made it more visually appealing. Xiaomi could have taken the extra step to include it in the initial release to make sure it's popular among Xiaomi fans. The good thing is that you don't need to spend a lot of time in MIUI.

How is Mi 11x Pro Phone up to Gaming Performance?

As with any phone in this price bracket, the Mi 11X Pro comes with 6GB of RAM. Despite being a budget phone, it's powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 845 processor which has always been the sweet spot for the OnePlus 6T and Huawei's Mate 20 Pro. In Geekbench 4, the phone scored 3,615 for single core and 10,218 for multi-core scores.

Having used more powerful phones like the OnePlus 6T and Honor View 20, the Mi 11X Pro's Geekbench 4 scores do seem impressive for a budget phone but it does seem like it does not fully exploit the full potential of the hardware. I couldn't test the Mi 11X Pro's gaming performance, so there's no telling how well it handles the game-playing Galaxy S10 version.
